Turning Winds Academic Institute (TWAI) is a therapeutic boarding school for troubled teenagers and at-risk youth. Located in Troy, Montana, on a 150-acre land surrounded by trees and a nearby trout river, Turning Winds offers a safe haven away from worldly distractions, where teenagers can find healing and growth.

The Turning Winds therapeutic program is a year-long residential treatment. It combines with various humanistic, narrative and eclectic approaches in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with known clinical methods to consistently produce results. The program, which deals with all three areas necessary for lasting change and reduced recidivism: behavior modification, mental toughness and academic performance, already has years of success in turning the lives of generations of troubled teenagers who are now leading successful and productive lives. Several of the Turning Winds graduates have successfully matriculated into the top colleges and universities in the U.S.
